Colorado Fly Fishing
The Colorado Fly Fishing you dream of !

Because we think drift fishing, e.g. fishing from a dory or raft, offers the highest quality experience, we spend most of our time on The Roaring Fork and Colorado Rivers which are much more conducive to drift fishing than simple wading.

- Colorado Fishing Guide

Floating one of these great fisheries, however, does not preclude wading.  It actually gives us much more access to the best spots to wade and the flexability to allocate our time accordingly, without spending to much time in one spot and abusing it. Often we use the boat merely as a means to get from one stretch of wadeable water to the next.  That is, sometimes floating a shorter stretch of water where we can concentrate on getting out of the boat and wading is the call we'll make depending on what you actually prefer to do, what the conditions are like, and what your level of experience is. Other times all of the fishing we'll do is from the boat as it progresses downstream, especially on those overcast days later in the year when fish like to eat streamers.  Most days we do some of everything, not only because the conditions often dictate our strategy, but also because we want to make the experience as dynamic as possible.
