HALF DAY COLORADO FLY FISHING TRIPS

Half day trips are four hour (or so) quickies where all the fishing is from the boat. This is a great way to take advantage of the incredible streamer and dry fly fishing that can take place early or late in the day depending on the time of year. I recommend that the person(s) interested in this type of trip either have experience or are generally more concerned with aesthetics than the effort and time it often takes to figure things out. This is not the trip for beginners.

Shuttles (the way my truck and trailor gets from where we put in to where we take out) are not included on half day trips. The cost of a shuttle is generally $20 to $30 depending on the stretch of water we do. We can either do the shuttle ourselves before we float or we can arrange a shuttle with the additional expense of $20 to $30.

3/4 DAY COLORADO FLY FISHING TRIPS

3/4 day trips are for those of you who just don't want to spend the whole day on the water. Once again there's not quite enough time on these trips to get out of the boat and wade and we are limited as to which stretches of water we can fit in under the constraint of time. A light lunch is provided. During those times of the year when the fishing is very consistent this can be the ideal trip for someone with a little experience who just has six or seven hours to fish.

If you are a beginner , I will do my best to cram in as much instruction as I can in the course of the fishing day, but often times it can be frustrating to finally "get it" right as we pull up to the take out.

FULL DAY COLORADO FLY FISHING TRIPS

Full day trips are for those of you who are serious about learning as much as you can. We have time to spend on all the things you've always been curious about from casting to reading the water to entomology, and more. We have time to get out of the boat throughout the day and wade and have a nice shore lunch which can be a pleasant surprise to even the most sophisticated of epicureans. If you are a beginner, I highly recommend you take the whole day to let me help you discover why fly fishing is considered by many to be the zenith of a person's gentle participation with the natural order. And for you experienced veterans, you know that the longer you spend out there, the more enriched you become. I need not persuade you any further.

Remember, these rates include everything except for fishing licenses. For the sake of convenience, try to arrange to buy your license prior to our fishing day. One day licenses are $5.25 and can be post dated to the day you have booked. All necessary equipment is provided; but your most important ally is a guide who will do everything in his power to exceed your expectations and who will absolutely dedicate the day to teaching you the subtleties of our quiet sport. The success of a guided fly fishing trip is not quantifiable in terms of the numbers and size of the fish you will catch. It is my humble opinion that success is a function of your level of enjoyment in the context of a mutually gratifying, shared experience where my knowledge, expertise and hard work are bartered for smiles, sighs of exhileration and process oriented results. For a fishing guide that is the best tradeoff there is.

Payment is by cash or check. A $100 deposit per booked day (e.g. if you book four days -- $400) is required and fully refundable up to twenty-one days prior to your trip(s), or if I can rebook the day(s).
